Paul-Joseph Barthez (1734-1806) was a French doctor and professor at the University of Montpellier. He was, with Théophile de Bordeu, the founder of the vitalist school, also called the medical doctrine of the Montpellier School.
This book deals with the different types of gouts, their symptoms and their treatments.
